About IRECO LLC
Effective July 1, 2002, the Railway Supply Group acquired IRECO Inc. and established a new company, IRECO LLC, with the intent of continuing to make available all the products and services that have been offered by IRECO Inc. for over seventy years. The legacy of IRECO Inc., its seven decades of solutions and its commitment to its customers, has become the foundation for the newly formed IRECO LLC.
Since 1929, our customers have challenged us with problems that required innovative yet economical solutions in mechanical engineering. Originally founded as ILLINOIS RAILWAY EQUIPMENT CO., and then in 1983 as IRECO, Inc., we have been granted over 300 patents to produce equipment and parts that serve the railroad industry and its end-users. A tradition of proven solutions combines our mechanical engineering expertise with experience in appropriate materials selection and processes. We currently provide forging, stampings, cable assemblies, castings, plastic and rubber moldings, webbing assemblies and related products, as well as a variety of fabricated assemblies to meet the needs of our railroad customers. We encourage other industries to challenge us as well.
The results…user friendly, quality products, most available as in-stock items. Each of these products started out as a problem - a puzzle to be pieced together. This process, essentially the same as it was many years ago, begins with listening carefully to the customer's problem, analyzing the data, applying the knowledge gained by assessing hundreds of previous challenges, then recommending a practical solution.
A major advantage today, however, is IRECO LLC's capacity to combine long-term experience with computer-generated technology. We can respond faster than ever before with solutions that allow our customers to quickly reach their application objectives. Improved and expanded capabilities in design and testing of solutions allow IRECO LLC to service existing customers with proven engineering expertise while also serving customers new to our resources and capabilities.
Between the initial customer inquiry and a satisfied customer come a number of steps that help create a productive and efficient system between an engineered product's beginning and its completion. As evidence to this statement, IRECO has been a consistent recipient of the TTX Excellent Supplier Award. This award recognizes superior customer service, product quality, performance, value and delivery.
